When Night Calls

Arousing timbers
Dark night callers
Drift-sleep walking
Negate our scandal
Echoes of modernity
Sky fire blazing
Skinless daymare I do not see.

Fire-breached forest
Sawtooths near Stanley, Idaho

A magical weekend camping with friends. A rare time when my husband and I were not camping by ourselves.  Dear friends.  Very dear friends.  We arrive.  It was my first time in and around Stanley, Idaho.  Beautiful.

Interesting things happened.  Camping is popular there, and we went up for a festival.  Another friend was participating in said festival.  With this, camping was at a premium. We settle in less than “ideallic” beauty.  Around us were places devastated by fire.

At night, these majestic barren trees, sang to me in their own mad(d)ness.

paint much love, always,
