One Year On

Connie Karleta Sales, mornings, 2018

2018 began with life held in fragility when I suffered a severe attack of this illness. A year on and much therapy, treatment, and prayer, my body has stabilized more, and even experiences progress.

Dear Friends,
I express deep gratitude for your support, encouragement, and prayer. As I reflect and plan for the coming year, I share, for without you, this, would be that much more difficult.

This year taught me a great deal about presence, editing, and prioritizing. I enjoy allowing dreams to hang in atmospheres while making realistic choices. It feels good. Relief and peacefulness. A delight embedded; desired.

I am not the best at these things; perceiving myself healthier than, more capable than; I am. Before, berating myself a failure with my shortcomings. This years loudly showed me your willingness, your stick-to-it-ness; your acceptance. A gift given; dove deep within my bones.

I do not have all the words I feel in this moment. One word; hope; a good word. I do not yet know the words myself; I feel them. A warmth radiates from my heart within my chest cavity.

With this warmth, here are some goals for the coming year:

  • Books of Poetry and Visio Divina Book Sets – Early June – Festivities TBA
  • Studio Zine – Twice/year – May/September –
  • Intuitive Observation/Visio Divina Workshops – Spring/Fall
  • Blog – Once a week posting about the raw-truth of life as told the best way I know how; art and poetry. Once a month updates/announcements
  • Initiatives
  • continued work with dk Gallery and PoetsArtists
  • continued work with Snapshots, Crossing Genres, and a select other publications on Medium
  • Continued commission work

Ambitious and exciting. I am looking forward to this new season of life. Revolving and communicating in much the same way my studio work lives and evolves together as a family.
