February 2019

Dear Friends, how was your February? A somewhat quiet month of healing mind and body. I am finally getting over the cold/infection and also the depression that comes when my body physically does not feel well. I am grateful.

I hope to see you submit to the studio Zine: What is a zine some of you ask?
According to the Urban Dictionary: For all intensive purposes, a zine is a cheaply-made, cheaply-priced publication, often in black and white, which is mass-produced via photocopier and bound with staples. Most zines revolve around a music scene of some sort, but others are dedicated to artwork, poetry, cartoons, editorials and short stories.

I chose this format because of its awesome casual nature. This is about community building. This about a you and an I within the greater we.

Simple joy in the energy of the community creative .

So, please, get out your notebook paper, scratch paper, paints, pens, canvas what have you. and find yourself within the us. What does that mean to you? look like to you?

Due date is March 15th by 5pm Eastern. . .

Have you checked out SnapShots? I am happy to be learning and experiencing working with a team of editors. Each of us brings a different perspective and areas of expertise. There are some mighty talented photographers out there; professional and amaeture.
