praying through art

I get asked a lot. Which comes first, words or images. the answer is both. I see them as the same, together. If I am honest, lately, I would say words are coming first in ways. Art is how I work out emotions, problems, seek answers, ask questions.

I pray through art. I laugh, I dance, I cry, and have joy.

I hope that as disturbing as my art can be sometimes, that it is beautifully disturbing, meaning that beauty comes out of even the darkest part of our lives.

This is a work in progress in the studio. don’t know where she will end up but I do love her.
