“dance with generosity”
attributed to Maurice Bejart
I was reflecting with the painting featured here. I am fatigued. Honestly recovery is very slow. I feel so tired all the time. I still have a dry wheezy cough I don’t seem to be getting rid of any time soon. My lungs just are not the same. I get out of breath quickly.
So, I reminded myself of the painting. Her name is Genuine. I love her because she feels so free. She is dancing. and I thought of my favorite choreographer. Maurice Bejart and my favorite Ballet company Bejart Ballet.
Genuine goes along side another painting, “By the Skin of her teeth”. Surviving and then thriving. why? Being true to self. relying on just being. I am having a hard time describing it.
I think the painting says it all, without words. lol funny, me without words. lol
I can dance in joy and hurt simultaneously. If it is real and true, then the dance is real and true. In dancing healing happens. and as healing happens sharing becomes possible.
I think this painting embodies the words attributed to Bejart, “dance with generousity” I believe I can when I am genuine.
And joy becomes. and healing becomes. which means I become.
What do you think? Do you think healing happens in the genuine?
paint much love, always,
