she battled on
for she dreamed
of the simple things

the simple things
sweet-pie cookies
of dreams, she battled on

she battled on
and on she roared
dreams of simple

Violence comes in many forms both physical, sexual, and emotional. It is inherently corrosive in nature. Far too many individuals walk through life in darkness; feeling isolated and shamed by the struggles and secrets of their experiences.

Sometimes I feel like there are 2 different things in my life. Do I talk about the abuse I suffered, or do I talk about NMO and how it effects my life. As though they are completely separate.

And in some ways obviously they are. One is past abuse and its effects, and walking through it to the other side. and the other is physical illness, and how it effects my life in various ways.

They do intersect. I am looking for something I wrote a long time ago when I was on Medium. It showed how one can effect the other in very real ways. I know I will find it among my thumb drives and external hard drives, and i will share it here when I do.

There is a way in which it can hinder medical treatment, because doctors and medical staff can miss things and dismiss things because they are attributing it to “trauma”. I do not like the term trauma because I feel it washing over and makes abuse more palatable.

This week I am trying out using my phone as a hotspot and working on my computer. So far, so so. Sometimes there is enough cell service to do so, and sometimes there is not, and things won’t load. But, looking at it as an option for publishing my blog and YT videos etc. We shall see.

paint much love, always,
